1.Who operates habni
habni is a habit tracker for personal routines, operated by Lucas Milhan, an individual, hereafter referred to as "we" or "the developer." This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
2.Data we collect
The data involved in using habni falls into these categories:
| Category | What it includes | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| App content | Habits and their rules over time, daily records and confirmations, pauses, and notes with their reminders | Stored on your device |
| Preferences | Theme, color theme, language, widget appearance, note layout, and which introduction screens and streak milestones you have already seen | Stored on your device |
| Crash reports | Failure stack traces, device model, Android version, and app version | Firebase Crashlytics (Google) |
| Usage metrics | Screens visited and basic navigation events, with no habit names, records, or note content | Firebase Analytics (Google) |
Content you create — habit names, goals, records, and notes — is never sent to crash or usage reports. Those tools only receive technical signals about how the app is behaving.
3.Notifications and reminders
If you allow notifications, habni uses them for the reminders you set on habits and notes. Reminders are scheduled on your device and are rescheduled after the device restarts or when its time or time zone changes. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in Android settings.
4.Voice dictation
When you choose to dictate text in a note, habni uses your device's system speech recognition service. habni does not request microphone permission and does not record or store audio — the recognition is performed by the speech service installed on your device (usually provided by Google), under that provider's own privacy terms, and only the resulting text is returned to the app.
6.Android automatic backup
Android may automatically back up habni's data (including your habits, records, and notes) to your own Google account, the same way it does for any other installed app — this backup is controlled by you, in your device or Google account settings, not by us. You can disable it at any time in Android Settings → System → Backup.
7.Data retention
App content and preferences stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data, except for any copy kept by Android's automatic backup in your own Google account. Crash reports and usage metrics are retained only for as long as necessary to diagnose issues and improve the app, following Firebase Crashlytics' and Firebase Analytics' own retention settings — after which Google automatically deletes them from its systems.
8.International data transfer
Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics may process and store data on Google servers located outside Brazil, including in the United States. Google is bound by its own data-processing terms and standard contractual clauses covering these transfers. This applies only to the diagnostic data described above — never to your habits, records, or notes.
9.Legal basis
We process diagnostic data (crash reports and usage metrics) on the basis of legitimate interest — necessary to identify failures, fix bugs, and maintain the app's quality and stability.
10.Data sharing
The only third parties involved are Google/Firebase services (Crashlytics and Analytics), used exclusively for the purposes described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or other third parties. habni does not show ads and does not collect your device's advertising ID.
11.Your rights
As a data subject, you can at any time:
- Request access to the diagnostic data associated with your use of the app;
- Request correction of inaccurate diagnostic data;
- Request deletion of that data, or anonymization where deletion is not technically possible;
- Request a portable copy of the diagnostic data we hold about your use of the app;
- Object to this processing at any time, without affecting past processing;
- Edit, archive, or delete the habits, records, and notes stored on your device directly in the app;
- Disable Android's automatic backup at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the e-mail address in the Contact section below. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no cost, as required by applicable data protection law.
12.Children
habni is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from users in that age group.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes to the app or to applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the most recent version.
