1.Who operates Hitraq
Hitraq is an interval timer for HIIT, Tabata, and EMOM workouts, operated by Lucas Milhan, an individual, hereafter referred to as "we" or "the developer." This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
2.Data we collect
The data involved in using Hitraq falls into these categories:
| Category | What it includes | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| App content | Routines with their stages and cues, the sessions in your history (date, duration, completed or partial status, and the configuration used), and the state of a session in progress | Stored on your device |
| Preferences | Cue settings (beep, vibration, and spoken announcement) and the app language | Stored on your device |
| Crash reports | Failure stack traces, device model, Android version, app version, and a random installation identifier | Firebase Crashlytics (Google) |
| Usage metrics | Automatic events such as first open, app sessions, screens viewed, and app updates, with device and Android version and a random app-instance identifier — no routine names, session records, or anything you typed | Firebase Analytics (Google) |
Content you create — routine names, stages, and your session history — is never sent to crash or usage reports. Those tools only receive technical signals about how the app is behaving.
3.Session notification
If you allow notifications, Hitraq shows a notification while a session is in progress, with the current stage, the time left, and Pause and Resume actions. It is created on your device and removed when the session ends. You can turn notifications off at any time in Android settings.
4.Spoken announcements
When you turn on the spoken announcement, Hitraq hands the text to be spoken (such as the name of the next stage) to the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. Hitraq does not request microphone permission and does not record or store audio — the speech is generated by that engine (usually provided by Google or your device's manufacturer), under that provider's own privacy terms.
6.Android automatic backup
Android may automatically back up Hitraq's data (including your routines and session history) to your own Google account, the same way it does for any other installed app — this backup is controlled by you, in your device or Google account settings, not by us. You can disable it at any time in Android Settings → System → Backup.
7.Data retention
App content and preferences stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data, except for any copy kept by Android's automatic backup in your own Google account. Crash reports and usage metrics are retained only for as long as necessary to diagnose issues and improve the app, following Firebase Crashlytics' and Firebase Analytics' own retention settings — after which Google automatically deletes them from its systems.
8.International data transfer
Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics may process and store data on Google servers located outside Brazil, including in the United States. Google is bound by its own data-processing terms and standard contractual clauses covering these transfers. This applies only to the diagnostic data described above — never to your routines or session history.
9.Legal basis
We process diagnostic data (crash reports and usage metrics) on the basis of legitimate interest — necessary to identify failures, fix bugs, and maintain the app's quality and stability.
10.Data sharing
The only third parties involved are Google/Firebase services (Crashlytics and Analytics), used exclusively for the purposes described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or other third parties. Hitraq does not collect your device's advertising ID.
11.Your rights
As a data subject, you can at any time:
- Request access to the diagnostic data associated with your use of the app;
- Request correction of inaccurate diagnostic data;
- Request deletion of that data, or anonymization where deletion is not technically possible;
- Request a portable copy of the diagnostic data we hold about your use of the app;
- Object to this processing at any time, without affecting past processing;
- Edit or delete the routines stored on your device and delete sessions from your history directly in the app;
- Disable Android's automatic backup at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the e-mail address in the Contact section below. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no cost, as required by applicable data protection law.
12.Children
Hitraq is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from users in that age group.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes to the app or to applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page always shows the most recent version.
